About Healthy Little Trees:
Working Locally, Thinking Globally
Hi there, I'm Lance Schultz. I am owner and founder of Healthy Little Trees LLC. I am an avid outdoorsman, urban farmer, and beekeeper with a passion for ecology. I founded Healthy Little Trees in 2022 after earning my bachelor's degree in forestry with a concentration in biology from CSU. I am an ISA certified arborist and carry my QS pesticide applicator license through the Colorado Department of Agriculture. I aim to assist clients to create and maintain more beautiful, sustainable, eco-conscience outdoor living spaces. Taking care of trees on the Front Range contributes to community well-being and overall global health.

I specialize in the treatment of emerald ash borer (EAB) and other pesticide applications. I also offer tree/shrub pruning and removal services. I am available for assistance with small urban farming projects such as bee keeping, building chicken coops, building compost bins, and mulching.
Services
Pruning and Removal
Proper tree and shrub pruning maintains airflow between branches for optimal growth, production, and aesthetics. Pruning also helps reduce spring damage, and potential safety issues.
EAB Treatment
Emerald ash borer (EAB) is an invasive beetle that can cause significant damage and leading to death to multiple species of ash trees in North America. After eggs are laid in crevices of bark and larvae hatch, they feed underneath bark for up to two years, until emergence. Left untreated, EAB larvae are highly destructive.
Pesticide Application
Applying the appropriate pesticides at the correct times can help safely prevent and treat a wide range of problems from invasive weeds to problematic insects.
Plant and Yard Health Care
Assisting clients create and maintain beautiful, xeric, sustainable, eco-conscience outdoor living spaces. Using proactive holistic measures my goal is to help you reduce the need for fertilizers and pesticides that eventually end up in communities waterways.
Small Carpentry
Using recycled, up-cycled, and unused materials, I enjoy crafting bee hives, cold frames, chicken coops, table tops, countertops, greenhouses, and other made-to-order items.
Re-Wilding Landscapes
Assisting clients re-wild their outdoor spaces by replacing/smothering water-thirsty grass and non-native plants with more xeric, sustainable, and eco-conscious options.
